1. About PlayTrain

PlayTrain ("we," "us," "our") is a child development tracking and educational content platform operated in the Philippines. PlayTrain provides parents and guardians with tools to track developmental milestones, discover age-appropriate learning activities, and celebrate their child's growth.

By creating an account or using the PlayTrain mobile application, website, or any related services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Account Eligibility

2.1. You must be at least eighteen (18) years old to create a PlayTrain account. By registering, you represent and warrant that you are a legal adult and a parent or legal guardian of any child whose data you enter into the platform.

2.2. Minors under the age of 18 cannot create accounts or interact with the platform independently. All child data is entered and managed exclusively by the parent or legal guardian.

2.3. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

3. Child Data Ownership

3.1. You, the parent or legal guardian, own all data related to your child that you enter into PlayTrain. PlayTrain acts as a data processor, not a data owner. We process your child's data solely to provide the Service.

3.2. You may export or delete all of your child's data at any time. Deletion requests are processed within thirty (30) days.

3.3. PlayTrain will never use child data for advertising, behavioral targeting, or sell it to any third party.

4. Public Timeline & Explore Feed

4.1. By default, milestone entries you record for your child are publicly visible to other PlayTrain users in the Explore feed and on your child's public timeline. Public entries display only: your child's first name, age bracket (not exact birthdate), milestone title, and photos (if attached).

4.2. The following information is never displayed publicly: last name, exact birthdate, parent identity, email address, or location data.

4.3. During onboarding, you will be clearly informed of the default-public setting. You may opt out by toggling individual milestones to private or setting your child's entire timeline to private at any time.

4.4. Creating an account and proceeding through onboarding constitutes your informed consent to the default-public setting, subject to your ability to change it at any time.

5. Photo Upload Responsibility

5.1. You are solely responsible for all photos you upload to PlayTrain. By uploading a photo, you represent that:

6. Community Conduct

6.1. PlayTrain is a supportive, positive community for parents. The following behaviors are prohibited:

6.2. Reactions on the Explore feed are positive-only (heart, clap, star). There are no downvotes, negative reactions, or public comments on other users' timelines.

6.3. Users may report content they believe violates these Terms. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team. Violations may result in content removal and account suspension.

7. Content Library & Educational Disclaimer

7.1. PlayTrain provides a library of free educational content including e-books, printable worksheets, and arts & crafts activities. This content is curated by the PlayTrain team and, in future phases, by third-party creators.

7.2. PlayTrain is not a medical or educational authority. All milestone suggestions, developmental notes, and activity recommendations are for informational purposes only and do not constitute medical, therapeutic, or professional educational advice. If you have concerns about your child's development, please consult a qualified healthcare professional.

7.3. PlayTrain does not guarantee the educational quality or accuracy of any content. Community ratings and reviews are provided as-is by other users.

8. Intellectual Property

8.1. The PlayTrain name, logo, design, and all platform-generated content (milestone descriptions, badge designs, share cards) are the intellectual property of PlayTrain.

8.2. Content you create (milestones, notes, photos) remains your intellectual property. By uploading content to PlayTrain, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to display it within the Service (e.g., on your timeline, in the Explore feed if public, and in share cards you generate).

8.3. This license terminates when you delete the content or your account.

9. Account Deletion

9.1. You may request account deletion at any time through the account settings. Upon request:

10. Storage Limits

10.1. Each PlayTrain account is provided with 500 MB of free storage for photos and avatars. You may add up to five (5) child profiles per account.

10.2. If you exceed your storage quota, you will be unable to upload new photos until existing photos are deleted or storage is freed.

11. Third-Party Services

PlayTrain integrates with the following third-party services to deliver the Service:

Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. PlayTrain shares only the minimum data necessary for each service to function.

12. Limitation of Liability

12.1. PlayTrain is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Service.

12.2. To the maximum extent permitted by Philippine law, PlayTrain and its officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

12.3. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to PlayTrain (if any) in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any disputes shall be resolved in the appropriate courts of Metro Manila, Philippines.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least fifteen (15) days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
